In 1858 the first steam engines produced by Fosters and were portables. Over the next 50 years several thousand were built, with many going for export to Eastern Europe and South America.

Each year our Steam Engine secretary carefully hand picks the best engines he can find for the Rally. We usually have around 30-40 working steam engines at the Rally. Take some time to watch history steam past.
